During its first period of operation (1978 -1986) CIEEL was located in the centre of the city of Thessaloniki. In 1987 CIEEL moved its premises to a new location in Finikas, Kalamaria to a recently completed building, which was designed by the architects Prof. D. Fatouros, G. Baxevanis, G. Panagiotidis, K. Passias. The building is of approximately 3.500 m2 and it was constructed with E.U. funding in a field of 16 hectares. Apart from the working areas, the building has an auditorium “Dimitrios Evrigenis Amphitheatre” that seats 170 people with 4 fully equipped cabins for simultaneous translation, two seminar rooms, a library, a reading room, a reception hall, a beautiful garden by the sea and parking space.

In 1995 CIEEL welcomed to its premises the Greek National School for Judges.

From 2016 CIEEL is hosting the academic meetings and events of the “Research Institute for Transparency, Corruption and Financial Crime” (ANTI-CORRUPTION AUTH).
